A hawker in Kayole found himself on the wrong side of the law after he forcefully entered through the ex-lover’s window just to punish her for dumping him.
On November 3, Moses Okiabera, according to court papers willfully and unlawfully assaulted Elizabeth Wanjiru who was in the company of her children in the Kayole Sanford area.
Consequently, Okiabera damaged Wanjiru’s Amtec Television Infinix mobile phone, button mobile, Reno, and a wooden table all valued at Sh, 31,400.
The duo is said to have been dating for half a year before Wanjiru opted out of the relationship due to misunderstandings a move that did not amuse the accused who constantly beckoned her for reconciliation in vain.
And on the material day, the accused went to Wanjiru’s house and knocked on the door but she remained adamant, unwilling to reconcile and so she did not open the door.
The unrelenting accused became furious and squeezed himself through the window and eventually gained entry. He then assaulted her and in the process damaged the above-mentioned properties.
It took the intervention of Wanjiru’s eldest daughter to rescue her mother by pulling him off her. A report was later made leading to his arrest. He however denied the accusation and the case was set for trial next year.
