Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria ushered in 2019 with ‘harsh’ words on President Uhuru Kenyatta for neglecting his Mt Kenya region.
He said; “Kiambu unakuja kupeana certificates za pombe. Uratukua wana”
But Kuria has now apologised to Uhuru for any statement that “could have hurt President” but he maintains his arguments on matters development in the region stands. He reprimanded Kiambu leaders for inviting Uhuru for embarrassing projects.

He added; “I am happy Nyeri people are utilising President better. They had him opening big market, road and airport but here in Kiambu we invite him, competing to have him meet rehabilitated drunkards and githeri man”.

Thigh average wananchi agreed with his sentiments, a section of politicians felt he went too far. Kiambu Governor Ferdinard Waititu even sent his brother John Ngigi Kuria in a revenge move. Ngigi Kuria is the County Chief Officer for Agriculture, Crop Production, Irrigation and Marketing in Kiambu County.
Kiambu Women Rep Gathoni Wamuchomba attacked Kuria claiming he is an addicted drunkard. She even suggested his treatment at her Rehabilitation Centre.

Today Kiama Kia Ma Elders meeting at Kimunyu Cultural Centre in Gatundu faulted Kuria and urged him to apologise, a request he heeded.
But Kuria is not yet done with Wamuchomba. He his dislike for her saying she is angered he meddled with his mission to “harvest bonus”
