Security Alert: Donholmn roundabout now paradise for muggers

A short stretch that is used as shortcut by many people who alight from town at Donholmn has become a hotpot for muggers because it does not have functional security lights, despite being on the highway, says Eric OKetch.

The dark stretch, he explains, is preferred by a majority of people living around Tena, but of late, muggers who walk in groups of threes have been hiding in alleys from 8pm waiting for a chance to pounce on unsuspecting residents.

“Not long ago, a businessman was attacked and robbed of his money and mobile phones while heading home from town at around 8:30pm. We suspect the culprits could be touts who operate around the area during the day and resort to crime at night,” she said.
