Nairobi City County tug-of-war team beat Kitui County in the recently concluded senate games.
“As the captain of the team, I am impressed by our fitness levels. Hakuna team inaweza kutubabaisha hapa Kenya and beyond. Sports help you overcome new challenges and improve on your mental health,” said Senator Omanga who has had to contend with being body shamed.
The senator has never shied away from flaunting her curves and dance moves.
“I’m proud of myself and body,” said Omanga whose video went viral a few months ago showing her wiggling her waist during a radio interview.
Omanga who used to sell bedsheets to make ends meet was appointed director at Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) and later nominated to the senate.
