Martin Kamotho alias Githeriman has denied that he was drunk after photos of him while being on trolley.

Kamotho has claimed that the photos that have since been circulated online made him cry in pain…“Mwenye alipiga hii pic chunga sana. Aki nimelia,” he said.

Kamotho shot to fame during the hotly contested 2017 elections after he was photographed standing in a voting queue at Imara Primary school while eating githeri.

The photo brought the nation much needed comic relief and earned him lucrative endorsements and packages.

Months later he was reported to have gone back to illicit brews within Kayole in Nairobi where he resides.

For this reason, President Uhuru ordered Kiambu women representative Gathoni Wa Muchomba to ensure that Githeriman is admitted at rehabilitation centre.

In 2017 Githeriman was among tens of Kenyans honoured by President Uhuru that saw him pocket Sh100,000 for Head of State Commendation.
