Chief Justice David Maraga has been dropped from the list of high profile fugures who usually enjoy cleared roads.
Even though, Justice Maraga will retain his chase cars and a flag;he will now taste pain of sitting in traffic for hours like any other hustlers even when he needs to make it to meetings or court.
This is according to new orders by Inspect General of police Hillary Mutyambai.
However, the IG did not strike out interior Principal Secretary, majority leader Aden Duale and opposition leader Raila Odinga who will still require roads to be cleared for them.
Others are National Assembly and Senate speakers, police bosses, military bosses and former Presidents.
Governors will be required to seek permission on special occasions to have the VIP privilege.
Only interior minister Fred Matiang’i will enjoy clean roads in the directive which takes immediate effect.
“Any other Government vehicle found violating traffic regulations especially those overlapping, the drivers shall be arrests and charged in accordance with the law, ” directed Mutyambai.
