Juventus star player Christiano Ronaldo has acquired a Bugatti, the world’s most expensive car going for £9.5 million which is equivalent to around Sh1 billion Kenyan Shillings.
According to reports Ronaldo has shelled out as much as €11million (£9.49million) for the car.
The car was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show 2019 and is only one of its kind – a prototype supercar designed by the company for its 110th anniversary.
The unique car was first displayed by its French maker at the Genever Motor Show 2019.
La Voiture Noire is powered by the company’s 8.0-litre turbocharged W16 engine and can reach 260 miles per hour.
Bugatti have confirmed the sale of the one-off car but haven’t revealed its owner. Apparently, the Juventus superstar can’t drive the car till 2021 as Bugatti want to fine-tune the prototype.
It had also been previously reported that the same car was bought by Ferdinand Piech, former chairman of the Volkswagen Group.
Locally, businessman Chris Kirubi owns Mercedes Benz M-Class AWD ML350 4MATIC 4dr whose price in Europe ranges from 5-9 million pounds.
Similarly, lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi joined CK’s class when he bought Bentley coupe estimated to be have pinched Sh20 million from his deep pockets.
