Former URP nominated MP Sonia Birdi scored clean D+ in her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
Birdi has been nominated for Environment CEC by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko in move that elicited humorous reactions from Nairobians.
Her secret came to light during the vetting by Nairobi County Assembly Committee even though she has promised to deliver.
“I wouldn’t have applied for the position. That D+ in my paper is not a failure but what I can bring on the table,” said Birdi studied at Loreto Convent Msongari School.
During the vetting it emerged that Birdi does not know where Dandora dumpsite is located and source of the Nairobi River.
In 2015 she and Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter caused a disturbance at the Gilgil weighbridge over suspicious container and further denied having intimate relationship.
