Here is his story…

I am Elphas Kiptoo a resident from Nandi county, Nandi hills constituency  Siret location cheptabach sub-location who is a P1 teacher graduated in the year 2019 at Nakuru ttc.

Immediately after  graduation   my   father died in 2020 and due to Covid 19 pandemic  I worked for almost 3 years as a tea plucker in Siret EPK estate and later joined one of the public schools as a PA teacher to date  where I am paid a token.

What made me write  this story is that I have two sons who are not  feeling well  and they require much of my attention, My first  born son was suffering from tonsillitis which  resulted in breathing difficulties.

But due to financial constraints I was forced to lease a small parcel of land to pay for the surgery bill of 65,000 at a private hospital in Eldoret.

Three months later, the same breathing problems have regenerated due to sinuses in the  nose and this requires close medication.

Furthermore  we have  our second born son who was born successful but after four days he developed some complications where.

We took him to hospital where he was diagnosed with belluribin rising up(jaundice disease)and he was treated under blue light for 3 weeks. He was discharged.

Then after sometime the baby kept crying alot we didn’t know that he had a problem. We went back to the doctor at Nandi hills district hospital where we were referred to kapsabet for a specialist.

At kapsabet the doctor referred us to Eldoret (grand-pre) children clinic where the baby was diagnosed with cerebral palsy where we were advised for occupational therapies twice a week which is costly  to make.

The second born son is now one year old and he is unable to sit down or crawl which indicates that he has a special need that is painful.
