The sudden demise of witty comedian Zachariah Kariuki popularly known as Mr. KK Mwenyewe has shocked and left many heartbroken especially those who knew him (fans).
The sad news was shared by one of his friend who hinted that the comedian died following a short illness at the Kiambu Level 5 hospital. The family is yet to brief on the cause of his death.
Okiya Omtatah, Busia Senator and human rights defender paid his heartfelt tribute acknowledging the late comedian’s comical talent mirrored society thus sparking a positive impact on public space.
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Zakariah Kariuki, popularly known as Mr. KK Mwenyewe, a young and talented comedian whose voice resonated with the spirit of a generation.
Through satire and art, Mr. KK courageously held a mirror to society, using humor not to divide, but to awaken, educate, and unite. His ability to capture the political moment with sharp wit and authenticity was both refreshing and powerful.”
The Senator stated that Kenya has lost not just a comedian, but a cultural commentator and a brave young patriot.
“My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and the entire creative community. May his soul rest in peace, and may his light continue to inspire courage and creativity in those he leaves behind.”
The comedian’s death has undoubtedly broken the hearts of many. He passed away while receiving treatment at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital.
During 2022, the period of election, Mr. KK was thrusted to the much publicity due to his entertaining satirical skits which he impersonated of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
