Metrofile and KARMA Partner to Advance Digital Transformation In Africa.

Metrofile, a leader in information and records management, has announced its partnership with the Kenya Association of Records Managers and Archivists (KARMA).

Part of the partnership was sponsoring of this year’s meeting of Karma workshop in Naivasha that began on Monday and ended on Friday, November 08.

The summit was described as Africa’s largest gathering of records management professionals which centered around the theme of Transitioning from Digitization to Digital Transformation.

Metrofile’s Managing Director, Jackline Mburu was among the speakers who spike at the conference.

She shared her insights into the importance of Digital Transformation, emphasizing how it is reinventing the way businesses manage, access, and leverage their crucial data in the digital age.

“We are honored to be part of this year’s KARMA conference and to contribute to discussions that underscore the transformative potential of digital information management across Africa,” said Jackline Mburu, Managing Director of Metrofile in Kenya.

She said that her organisation was dedicating itself to transforming legacy document management into a streamlined, efficient digital ecosystem that not only safeguards data but also propels people’s business forward.

She added that Metrofile reaffirms its commitment to advancing digital transformation in Africa’s information management landscape.

” This aligns with Metrofile’s groundbreaking offerings, such as EverFiles, its newly launched cloud storage platform, which empowers businesses in East Africa to securely manage data within Kenya’s borders,”she said.

As the first Kenyan-hosted cloud solution of its kind, Metrofile the CEO emphasized that it ensures regulatory compliance, data sovereignty, and advanced security, meeting the growing demand for Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing (EFSS) solutions—a market projected to reach USD 2,691.01 million by 2029, with a CAGR of 26.1%.

During a recent meeting with KARMA officials, the CEO said that their discussions covered several key initiatives, including knowledge-sharing partnerships that support skills development for young professionals in records management.

According to her the meeting further highlighted the importance of understanding the value of data through digitization, especially within the public sector where paper-based records remain prevalent with the Kenyan government actively encouraging digital adoption.

She added that Metrofile believes the conference’s theme was timely, aligning with its mission to champion digital transformation.
