Millicent Jerotich alias Marakwet Daughter the hit maker of Mali Safi Chito has vowed to defend herself from critics.
This comes after she was trolled over her move to report a comedian from kericho, Brobox and DJ Sutai for doing a remix of her song which became a hit sometimes in December 2023.
Following her request to Youtube to strike out the remix a section of fans have been trolling Marakwet Daughter online and others unsubscribing from her YouTube channel in rage.
The situation took a different twist when Jerotich shared a video while she dressed down the fans who have habit of taunting her through inbox comments.
Days on, fans are still sharing mixed reactions over the musicians to use uncouth language online targeted to her followers.
Even so Jerotich through her social media has stood ground that she will not be cowed by those still ill mouthing her.
“I’m a star made in heaven. And I don’t give a damn about my haters. I have genuine fans and I love them all. I will not apologise to few haters,” Maraket Daughter posted.
In another post she wrote, “I have a right to defend my music from pirates who are using it to make themselves rich, I may have used a bad language by I’m trying to defend myself from haters,”
Already, Marakwet Daughter has received a backing from Communications and Public Administration Specialist Dr Ezekiel Mutua who noted that the musician needs guidance and support instead of attacks.
“To Mali Safi, let me give you fatherly advice, humble yourself and take care of your brand. Don’t let criticism distract you. You will never reach your destination if you keep engaging critics,” Mutua said in lengthy message.
