Shule Yako hit maker Mercy Masika has revealed her struggle during her first year in marriage.
The musician said when she was married, she was independent and did not expect some to do some stuff like cooking for her husband.
Masika who is married to Pastor David Muguro was speaking during an online interview revealing her secrets that few of her fans knew about.
“Marriage was hard for me in the first year because I think I was very… I had other ideas that were not very godly because I was like, I’m independent, you know” she said
Adding that, ” nobody tells me what to do. In fact, I was shocked when we got married that you would sit down and wait for me to cook for you. As in like, that was shocking,”
Masika said at some point, she was depressed in her first and second month of her marriage and asking herself a lot of questions on what to expect.
“So, for me, I think I got the clear perspective, the godly way, the bold kind of, you know, way to do marriage from Reverend Kathy Kina…what she said, that was her same story,”
