Apolice officer in Nairobi has been court for allegedly conspiring to defeat justice by forging his estranged wife’s signature.
Daniel Mutisya, who was suspended from the police service, pleaded not guilty to conspiring to forge the signature of Josephine Mutindi Kothu on a case withdrawal letter that was presented before the court as evidence.
The prosecution alleges that he committed the offense on January 10, 2019, at Dandora Police Station with others who are in court.
He was charged with a second count of uttering a forged withdrawal letter before the Milimani Children’s Court purporting it to be genuine and signed by his wife Josephine.
He pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bail of Ksh.100,000.
