A man will spend five years in jail for admitting that he shared nudes of ex-girlfriend after parting ways.

Joseph Njuguna was charged with cyber bullying and distribution of obscene images in Nairobi.

According to court details the accused, 22; wrongfully and willfully shared the pictures of a woman using the Telegram app to her colleagues.

The prosecution stated that the photos were received by the girl’s relatives and friends on different dates in June forcing her to report to police.

The court was told that the two had dated for two years but their relationship turned rocky when Njuguna accused her of cheating on him.

At some point, the court heard he started being physical, something that made the victim break up with him.

It was then that he is said to have photographed her while naked and shared them on the online.

The act is said to have disturbed the woman who made up mind to take the legal action.

The court was told even having parted ways for two years, the accused continued sharing the photos before he was arrested after the complainant learnt that the photos were circulating for the second time.

Mungai on his part told the court that he did it out of anger and devastation after the girlfriend left him.
