A young mother in Bomet county is mourning the unprecedented death if his two-year-old boy owing to the electrocution.
Mercy Chebet son died on the spot at her boss’s house in Chemosoren Village where she usually works as a house manager
Bomet County Police Commander Edward Imbwaga, as reported by Citizen said the child was in company of his mother when the tragedy struck.
Police reports indicated that the toddler had entered into the bedroom while his mother was engaged in household chores. The boy inserted a pair of scissors into a power extension cable that was plugged into a wall socket.
Mercy hinted that she did not even notice her son getting to the room since she was highly engaged in other duties
Following electrocution, the boy’s body was discovered lying on the floor, still clutching onto the scissors in his right hand, which remained attached to the socket.
Police officers, with the assistance of Kenya Power technicians, processed the scene before the body was moved to Kapkatet mortuary.
