A young lady in Nairobi has been detained in a city hospital where she had gone to give birth.
The woman (pictured) identified as Faith Shishia according to medical records delivered at Cana hospital located in Mukuru kwa Njenga.
According to neighbours the woman was rushed to the facility on Friday and has not left the facility after failing to pay the Sh10,000 bill after delivering.
Her husband Kennas Ochieng told the neighbours he could not raise the amount too since he was jobless.
Ochieng, who appealed for help to raise the amount, said he lost his job sometime last year and has been surviving on casual jobs.
“I was working with a security firm but my job ended last year in October, I just hustle around to make ends meet,” the husband said while making an appeal to well-wishers.
