A youthful man from Kapsabet has come out to claim that he wants to meet Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko because he and other people suspect they could be having blood relations.

Nicholas Sitienie says people started taking notice of him in 2105 when he joined college thus attracting attention since then to date.

Sitenie told local daily that people of his hometown in Nandi Hills and Nairobi have on several occasions mistook him for the governor, while others believe he is Sonko’s son.

He said , “My resemblance to the governor has been quite beneficial. People claim that we have a lot in common. I also like looking good and socialising a lot, just like Sonko.”

The businessman who was born in Kapsabet town says he is the only son of a single mother who is based in the United States and has been living with his grandmother for a long time.

“Many people refer to me as Sonko’s son or brother and I would like to find out from the governor if there is any possibility of truth in these rumours,” said Sitienei.

He added, People always mistake me for the governor and ask for financial assistance. I have however never met Sonko, and I want to meet him soon so that I can ask him if he knows something that I don’t know,”
