A Maasai man who allegedly prepared ‘medicine’ that killed a man in Nairobi’s Buru-buru estate has been arrested.
Further police have been allowed to detain the suspect John Kaskas Sungura for two weeks after he was arraigned before Makadara court for miscellaneous application.
Police officer investigating the case told the court that Harrison Maina died after consuming the concoction prepared bt Sungura.
The officer said,“The four victims were rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital after he developed complications and died while undergoing treatment at Mama Lucy Kibaki hospital.
A report on murder was then reported on 27th November at Buruburu police station vide occurrence book number 47/27/11/2019.
A post mortem was later conducted on the deceased and it was found that he died as a result of chemical poisoning.
The suspect was then arrested on the following day since he is alleged to be the main culprit who prepared the poisonous medicine. The matter will be mentioned on December 17th.
