I’m very sick, man who stole church instruments claims in court

A middle aged business man accused of demolishing Mega Church Christian Fellowship and stealing its materials has told Nairobi court that he is very sick.

Dishon Mwangi, allegedly stole church instruments and materials valued at Sh2 million belonging to Pastor Samuel Waweru Muiruri in Nairobi; he was also accused of handling stolen goods within Athi River.

Police stated that Pastor Muiruri had leased the aforementioned land  to one elderly lady for five years to set up the church but Githaiga allegedly colluded with rogue City Hall officials to make fake ownership documents.

It is alleged further that some of the building materials stolen from Muiruri’s church were recovered at a City Court’s Registry official’s compound. to grab the said land from a different party.

The court was told the accused  has a habit of taking time off by seeking bail terms then walks away and that there were no medical records showing what he was suffering from.

However Makadara chief magistrate Hetson Nyaga  while noting that the matter arose from property disputed slated the plea taking for 27th November when Mwnagi will be expected back in court.
