President Uhuru scolds ministers, nephew for failing to take notes

President Uhuru Kenyatta decided to dress down two ministers and his personal assistant for failing to take notes at a town hall meeting with Kenyans living abroad.

In a dress down that provoked laughter, and at the same time, he told off Agriculture Minister Mwangi Kiunjuri and his counterpart, industrialization minister Peter Munya for ‘kukaa ndee’ whenever they are in serious meetings.

The hammer also fell on his PA who is also his nephew Jomo Gechaga whom the President said that he often leaves it to him to remember what was agreed upon.

President Kenyatta was amused that even when he was talking, his nephew was just seated and gazing around.

“I am looking down my brother Mr. Kiunjuiri has just opened his notepad to write what I am saying.  He was not interested in what these Kenyans are saying, maybe it had nothing to do with agriculture.

But he forgets he is a minister of the Republic of Kenya   and whatever they say, he should be interested to know what is it that these people are telling us.

“Na si hao mawaziri wangu peke yao, I have a long serving PA here, angalia, anaangalia tu ,” he said amidst laughter of those who had attended the fete.

Kila kitu nasema, inabakia ni mimi nikumbuka, na nisipokumbuka, hio impotea,” said President Uhuru.
