An elderly woman has landed in trouble for allegedly having an romantic with a 19-year university student at Kabarak University.

In a shocking twist, the parents of the university student has written to the woman who is said to be a civil servant to stop the relationship with their son.

The parents claimed that after the boy was admitted to university in 2025, the woman took the boy and kept him at her home in Donholmn, Nairobi.

“As a result, our son abandoned his university education despite university fees having been paid, thereby jeopardising his education and future,” the demand letter reads

The lawyer stated the constitution expressly provides that every person has the right to education and provides for protection of children from abuse, neglect, violence and other conduct prejudicial to their welfare.

He added that the law provides that the best interests of a child are of paramount importance in every matter concerning the child.

“Therefore, our Client is considering to invoke the jurisdiction of the Court under Section 35 of the Children Act and to place before the Court circumstances surrounding his son’s abandonment of his university education,”

The woman was also ordered to stop any further relationship with the student or interfering with his education and/or encouraging/facilitating his continued abandonment of his university studies; and hosting him at your place of residence.

“Take notice that unless you give a written undertaking that you shall desist from aforesaid conduct within the next Seven (7) days from the date hereof, we have firm instructions to proceed legal proceedings against you,” the demand letter says
