A man aged 42 from Wanugu village in Gatundu South is nursing injuries after cutting off his genitals.

Witnesses say the man currently admitted at Gatundu Level Five Hospital used blunt panga to cut off his testicles on November 23rd.

He claimed that he made the painful decision after his attempts to quit alcohol bore no fruits.

Addressing the media from hospital bed, the man said the love for alcohol had pushed him to the wall.

For this reason, he saw that life had lost meaning but did not reveal why he resorted to cutting off his genitals.

At some point, he is said to have attempted suicide before parting ways with his wife and three children pushing him to alcohol abuse.

“I urge the pastors to pray for me so that I can stop drinking, whenever I am sober, I am at peace,” he said.

A medical report shows that the man underwent major scrotal exploration, which involves the examination and treatment of testicular injuries through scrotum.
