Nairobi’s Britam Towers wins exceptional skyscraper awards

Britam towers in Nairobi bagged a prestigious international award for its alluring design.

The 200 meters tower owned by insurance firm Britam Life Assurance Limited is the only building in Africa which received Emporis Skyscraper Award.

It is the only building in Africa to have participated, and emerged in the top 10 list of world’s historic buildings.

The award now places the building built by  Britam Properties Limited as the highest skyscraper in Sub Saharan Africa.

The Tower competed with other buildings in Europe, Asia and United States of America.

Other buildings that were in the listing include Generali Tower in Milan, Chicago’s 150th North Riverside and the Riverpoint.

Locally, Britam Towers dethroned UAP Old Mutual House with held the tallest building in Kenya which is 163 meters.

The winners are selected by a panel of architectural experts from all corners of the globe, with the selected houses to win the prize for their influence and efficiency. Britam Tower  was completed in November 2017,

On top of it, one can watch beautiful scenes within Nairobi Central Business District, Nairobi National Park, Mt Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya on clear day.
