From the pictures, she appears happy and bubbly, but Ivy Wangeci is no more.
Ivy was 6th Year Medical student at Moi University until the man who has been identified as the boyfriend hacked her to death in broad daylight today.
Even as police piece together what could have sparked the man to kill her, witnesses claim Ivy was from her medical practical as Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital when he was accosted by the suspect.
“The boy approached her armed with an axe, then hit her on the head before slitting the throat with sword….then he hit the head three times again” reported a witness.
The witness claim, nearby boda-boda operators arrived to save the situation but it was too late…. Their attempt to lynch him was unsuccessful as police on patrol arrived and whisked him away.
His intention is yet to be known but police have promised to leave no stone un-turned in their probe.
