Janet Muthoni Ouko who was serving as the City County Education, Youth, Sports, Gender and Social Services has resigned to pursue other interests.
She handed in her resignation today afternoon. The letter addressed to Governor Mike Sonko read; “I wish to than you most sincerely for the opportunity to serve in your government as an Executive Committee Member. Here is to tender my resignation effective January 31, 2019”.
Muthoni, a governance and education rights advocacy specialist was fished from Elimu Yetu Coalition she headed to become County Education and Social Services boss last year after Sonko become city governor.
she has resigned to pursue other interests.
She was also member of Board of Directors of the Global Partnership for Education representing the Developing Countries Civil Society Constituency.
She cited challenges in her county docket, one being deficiency of schools to cater for ballooning pupils in Nairobi.
