If your mobile phone was snatched recently by thugs on Boda-boda in Nairobi, you need not to worry much.
Your mobile phone could be among those recovered from robbers in Kayole among other assorted household items.
In a successful operation, police in Kayole have arrested four suspects believed to have been terrorising city residents by snatching their mobile phones in the estates.
The crackdown carried out on 12, May 2026 led to recovery of 62 mobile phones at a dwelling in Saika area along Kangundo Road where it is believed they were being kept before being returned to the market.
Also recovered were a Falcon pistol, 16 rounds of ammunition, three motorcycles, television set and other stolen household items.
Kayole Sub-County Police Commander John Owuoth said the make of the firearm shows that it is from Ethiopia thus they are interrogating the suspects to establish how it found its way into the country.
While appealing to the members of the public to always report stolen phones, Owuoth urged those who might have lost their gadgets to visit the station to identify them.
“We appeal to the members of the public who might have lost their phones in a similar way, and they have not recovered, to come and check with us if it can be identified,” the Sub-County Commander added
