Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has added another accolade to his growing political profile after being named Best Member of Parliament at the highly regarded StarBrands Awards.

The outspoken lawmaker clinched the award in recognition of his performance in public service, particularly his visible development track record, accessibility to constituents, and strong advocacy on education and youth empowerment.

According to the organisers, the award considered key metrics such as:

Implementation of development projects within constituencies,responsivenes to citizen concerns,legislative effectiveness and influence on national issues, especially those affecting young people.

Babu Owino has consistently ranked among Kenya’s top-performing MPs, with his Embakasi East constituency often cited as a model in education support programmes and grassroots engagement.

Speaking after receiving the award, the legislator welcomed the recognition, terming it a reflection of the trust and support he continues to receive from his constituents.

The MP who is now eying to be Nairobi Governor reaffirmed his commitment to championing policies that uplift ordinary Kenyans, particularly through education and social empowerment initiatives.
