The State House, Kenya’s highest office where the President operates from will go without water supply for two days.
This is according to a statement by Nairobi City Water & Sewerage Company notifying State House and other areas.
“NCWSC wishes to inform the public of temporary water supply interruption affecting several residential and commercial areas in the city,” the statement reads
According to Nairobi water the disruption was caused by a burst on the major Kabete-Kilimani transmission pipeline at 1:00am on Friday, March, 20, 2026.
Thus affected areas listed were State House, Kilimani, Kileleshwa, Upperhill, Nairobi West, Ngumo, KEMRI and Madaraka.
“NCWSC technical teams responded swiftly and repairs were actively underway to restore the water supply by Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 6:00pm.
“This timeline accounts for the complexity of repairing a high-capacity transmission line while minimizing risks and infrastructure,” Nairobi Water added
At the same time, residents affected by the disruption were advised to use stored water sparingly and that Nairobi Water bowsers will be available for those willing to buy the essential commodity.
