This is why Nairobi woman smashed matatu windscreen

She was in company of Secondary school girl

For several hours now, video of a woman smashing matatu along Tom Mboya Street along Tom Mboya Street has gone viral.

The woman who was in the company of Secondary school girl believed to be her daughter who was in uniform.

After smashing the windscreen, some members of the public pounced on the lady as her daughter, who was in uniform, tried to rescue her in vain.

It has now emerged that the driver and the woman are couple in matter that is now under police investigations.

According to police sources, the woman had gone to the city centre to look for the husband who is a matatu driver to pay fees for their daughter.

“The bus driver is husband, and the woman had gone to look for him, claiming that she was not paying school,” an officer said

“The woman said the driver also assaulted her, which is why she shamshed the windscreen, but we are investigating the matter,” the officer added
