The National Economic Development Party (NEDP) capped the year with a colourful end-of-year celebration that doubled as a show of growing political momentum, as thousands of Kenyans expressed interest in joining the party.
The event, which brought together party officials, members, and supporters, was marked by vibrant celebrations and a strong turnout, reflecting NEDP’s expanding national appeal.
The ceremony was graced by the party patron and former Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko.
Party leaders said the rising interest signals increasing public confidence in NEDP’s vision, noting that the celebrations provided an opportunity to reflect on the year’s achievements while welcoming new members into the fold.
A notable feature of the growing support is the rising number of young people showing interest in the party.
NEDP officials attributed this to the party’s focus on economic empowerment, inclusivity, and grassroots leadership, themes that continue to resonate strongly with the youth.
During the event, the party leadership also took time to appreciate staff and members for their dedication and commitment throughout the year, describing their efforts as key to strengthening the party’s structures across the country.
With its growing grassroots support and increasing youth engagement, NEDP is increasingly being viewed as an emerging political force ahead of the 2027 General Election, with observers noting its potential to shape the country’s political landscape.
