The Ministry of Repentance and Holiness has denied that its founder Prophet David Owuor said the world would end today, on August 2, 2025.

In a statement, the church said the reports that had been going round claiming that Owuor had predicted the end of the world were false and misleading.

“We the leadership of and congregation of The Ministry of Repentance and Holiness strongly denounce the recent spread of false and misleading information about the world ending on August, 2, 2025,” the church stated

Adding that, “Prophet Dr Owuor has always been very categorical on the fact that nobody knows the day or the hour when Messiah will return,”

According to the church, those who linked the reports to the ministry had the intention of harming the reputation of Owuor and the ministry at large adding that they had set the record straight through another statement of July 13.

The Ministry urged all the media houses, bloggers, content creators and all social media users and the general public to stop sharing or entertaining unverified allegations.

“As believers, we are called to pursue truth, peace and righteousness. Let us not be quick to spread gossip, but instead be diligent in prayer, discernment and unity,” the ministry added
