A 54-year-old businessman has found himself on the wrong side of the law after he allegedly urinated on his neighbour’s doorstep and assaulted her.
According to the charge sheet, Peter Mwangangi assaulted Dionisia Wanjiru on November 4 in Hamza area within Makadara Sub-County.
Reportedly, the accused has repeatedly been harassing the complainant who lives with a physical disability.
Neighbours, who are part of the prosecution witnesses, said the accused had confessed to hating the complainant because of her disability.
On the stated day, the accused went to her doorstep while drunk and pretended to have fallen down. He then got up and urinated at her doorstep and when the complainant asked him why he was misbehaving in front of her children, he grabbed a stick and used it to beat her.
The complainant screamed for help and locked herself in her house. Neighbours escorted her to a nearby police station where the case was reported and the accused was arrested and later arraigned in court following investigations.
He was released on a cash bail of 10,000 pending hearing on April 15, 2025.
