Authorities for Equatorial Guinea have reportedly sacked Baltasar Ebang Engonga as Director General of National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF).
According to the BBC, Engonga was suspended after videos were leaked claiming that he had bedded over 400 married women.
Some of them were said to be wives of government officials in Equatorial Guinea.
It is reported that Vice President Teodoro Obiang Nguema ordered Engonga be dismissed as the current boss of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC).
The Country’s Vice President was reported to have suspended all officials who were captured in the videos engaging in sexual activities in office.
However, it is reported that before the sex tapes leaked, Engonga was also being investigated on unrelated corruption cases.
Even so, the country’s attorney general noted that the recordings were consensual but the man could be charged for public crimes.
Meanwhile the county’s First Lady Constancia Mangue had in the week the Engonga’s videos had embarrassed the nation more so how they had gone viral across the borders.
