A young lady in Mtito-Andai along Mombasa-Nairobi highway yesterday afternoon was rescued in lodging where she and a truck driver had booked for a short stay.

This was after the lady only identified as Mueni called for help about half an hour after checking in with the truck driver.

Witnesses claim the driver was headed to Mombasa and made a usual stop-over at Mtito Andei around 2pm where he reportedly invited the lady for lunch in one of the eateries.

After a while they were spotted checking into a lodging but after some minutes the lady was heard screaming.

“Initially, we thought it was usual noises from the lady enjoying the moment with the truck driver but when she started calling for help we responded in numbers,” one of the security guards manning the rentals stated.

He added that they were forced to break into the room where the lady found a chance to escape leaving the driver alone.

“We were forced to whip him for some minutes so that he could release the poor lady, the man appeared too strong by the time we arrived,” the watchman claimed adding that everyone around the lodgings was shocked since it was early in the afternoon.

“When we threatened to frogmarch him to the police station, he confessed that he had used sex enhancing drugs before approaching Mueni, after searching his pockets we also found some blue tablets,” the watchman added.

After his confession, the truck driver was taken to a nearby health facility where he was attended to and discharged to continue his journey around 6pm in the evening.
