Once again, Nairobi County Chief Officer for Environment Geoffrey Mosiria has been recognised for his efficiency in service delivery.

Mosiria was honoured on Saturday as the best chief officer in Nairobi county and beyond it’s borders by Politrack Africa Limited

The awards ceremony was held at the J Marriott Hotel, GTC building, in Westlands, Nairobi.

” This recognition reflects the collective efforts and dedication of my team and the unwavering support from Governor Sakaja,” Mosiria said after scooping the award.

He added that “I am truly grateful for this acknowledgement, which inspires me to continue working towards a cleaner, greener Nairobi,”

From the time he was appointed as the chief officer for health, Mosiria has been among the best performing officers in the county.

In the docket, he is said to have left significant milestones in the health sector before he was moved to the Environment docket in recent reshuffle.

This did not deter his efforts in attempting to restore tranquillity and habitable neighbourhoods in Nairobi by facing off with owners of noisy bars and clubs in the residential areas

Almost on a daily basis, the Chief Officer respond to distress calls from city residents reaching out to report noisy clubs and those polluting environments by releasing harmful discharge among other wastes.

Not long ago, someone on social media wondered if Mosiria was the Nairobi governor, adding that the chief officer was overworking.

“For sometime now, I’ve been following this guy, and I think he’s working harder than the governor…ama yeye ni governor wa Nairobi,” the netizen wrote.
