If you are a keen observer who lives in Nairobi, then you must have noticed that footbridges are usually busy on Sundays.
Many people who live not far from the footbridges and flyovers in Nairobi have converted into a favourite hangout, mostly for lovebirds during weekends.
The habit is common along Outering Road in Embakasi, Jogoo Road and Thika Road among other roads in the city.
Residents who spoke to Nairobi Journal on Sundays, young couples flock here to have fun because there is no open place to hang around like Uhuru Park or other amenities.
However, some pedestrians say they have been embarrassed to walk in on couples in compromising positions on the flyovers, especially late in the evenings.
Other flyovers that are ‘fully booked’ on Saturdays and Sundays include one at DC stage in Makadara and City Stadium.
