A plumber in Nairobi was arrested last week and charged in court for attacking a woman he sired a son with for denying her chance to see the child.
John Munyanzi who appeared before a Nairobi court is said to have committed the offense on August 28, 2024 in Ruai.
Munyanzi and the woman had been dating but parted ways and it is alleged that the complaint has been denying her chance to see their child.
This is said to have angered the accused for a long time and on the fateful day, he went all the way to where the woman and the child lived.
Police stated the woman was away when Munyanzi sneaked in her home and when she arrived in the evening she was shocked to see him.
And before she could utter any word, it is alleged that Munyanzi pounced on her all the way to the ground.
Munyanzi is accused of forcibly removing her trousers and proceeding to bite her in her private parts, prompting her to scream for her mother’s help.
The complainant’s mother intervened and separated them. Despite her mother’s pleas for Munyanzi to go inside the house to resolve the issue, he refused, claiming he didn’t know who was inside the house.
The following day, the police were notified, leading to Munyanzi’s arrest. He has since pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on a cash bail of Sh30,000, pending mention of the case on February 11, 2025.
