A man in Nairobi has lost his manhood after failing to pay Sh80 for alcohol he had imbibed.
Following the heinous act the bar owner and a bouncer was arrested and have been charged with unlawfully causing grievous harm at a club in Kayole, Nairobi.
Festus Makori and Jerica Muthoni were accused of cutting off and removing the man’s entire scrotum and the penis at Mihango stage, on April 16.
They were warned that they could be jailed for life if they pleaded guilty to the charge or should they be found guilty after trial.
According to court details the man was injured at the bar near Kayole police station following a scuffle with a waitress.
Reportedly, he had declined to pay the Sh80 for a beer that had been taken by another customer.
It is stated the victim’s phone was confiscated and that he was assaulted inside the bar.
Makori is suspected to be one of the men who threw the mam.out of the bar before they tied, undressed and removed his entire private parts.
The man regained consciousness later and found himself surrounded by onlookers while lying half naked outside the club and bleeding and was rushed for treatment at Mama Lucy Kibaki hospital.
The two suspects denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Hellen Okwani of the Makadara Law Courts.
Ms Okwani remanded the two suspects in custody until July 1, 2024 when the report will be presented in court.
