A family is Embakasi, Nairobi is still in shock after a woman whom they had employed as house help ran way with their child aged six months.
The child’s father Ken Simiyu, 51, said the incident happened on December 23rd, 2023.
More shocking is that the family had stayed with the house help for only 3 days and they had not known all her details.
The family claim the lady did not have a mobile phone or Identity card that they can use to trace her even as they appealed for assistance.
“On December 23 in the morning, my wife left to purchase milk only to return and find the lady and the baby missing,” Simiyu told local newspaper.
The woman only identified as Maurine approached the family asking for job and was accepted.
On the fateful morning Simiyu’s wife had left for the shop and when she returned she found the child and the house help missing.
The matter was booked at Reuben police station under OB number 27/22/12/23.
