A city pastor has vowed that he will never preside over wedding where bride is wearing any kind of makeup.
Godfrey Migwi, the outspoken lead preacher at House of Hope in Nairobi, said that as an ordained minister, his aim is to ensure that men get the real deal when they get married.
The preacher argues that: “I will never officiate any wedding in the church if the man has not been given the opportunity to see the bride face to face without makeup, at least three weeks into their courtship.”, he said
He said that other preachers should follow suit and not oversee wedding unless the groom has seen the woman without makeup before saying ‘I do’.
“I urge other church ministers to follow suit. This is one of the reasons people divorce. Akioga unaona mtu mwingine mwenye hawafanani na yule wako ulioa, unakuwa confused,” said the preacher.
The pastor claims that many men have been dupe by makeup, especially those who have not dated for long before walking down the aisle.
