Kiambu County’s budget saga continues to deepen with current Governor Ferdinand Waititu now claiming that it was prepared by his predicessor William Kabogo.

In an interview with Kenya Television Network (KTN) Baba yao claims that his Government adopted and run a budget which was drawn by its predicessor.

Interestingly, the blame gane points to a reckless person as questions linger as to how Waititu’s handsmen used a document without proper scrutiny or even familiarizing.

“First and foremost, this budget was for 2017-2018 which was done by the previous Government because we were elected in August and we started using this budget in November 2017,” he claimed.

“It was actually not us who did this budget, it was for the previous Government by Governor Kabogo.”

Waititu did not stop there, he claimed that the numbers and absurd allocations might have been system generated or even fixed by a person out to embarrase him.

He also claimed that there was no money spent and that the document which was relied on by Senate was afixed to the auditor general Edward Ouko’s audit.

Kiambu Governor was of the view that Mr. Ouko did not raise any issue with his Government’s expenditure, instead the foreign document gave the shocking figures.

“The audit is up to 16 and from page 17 there is an annexture which to us is a foreign document,” he said.
