Kenya will host the first conference on autism this week from April 25-27.
This will see parents and professionals from over 36 African Countries converge in Nairobi according to the event organizers dubbed Panafrican congress on autism.
One of the organizers said “attendants have started arriving, each country will have about 4 representatives and over 50 professionals,”
Raising awareness and offering supporting each other are among the issue that will be discussed during the event that will be held at SafariPark Hotel.
From tomorrow there will be a lot of activities including art sale at Nairobi Museum where all proceeds will be channeled to a trust to support children with autism.
Amid the efforts and importance of the event the Kenyan government is yet to embrace and sponsor such worthy causes.
Not long ago Sports Ministry under watch of Ambassador Amina Mohamed declined to offer support during the special kid’s Olympics but the situation was rescued by Safaricom and Coca Cola.
