Flamboyant politician Paul Ongili, alias Babu Owino, has seen the light after being prayed for by self-proclaimed ‘mightiest prophet of David Owuor.’
The Embakasi East law maker knelt before the controversial Prophet, who laid hands on and prayed for Babu before addressing a mammoth of Owuor’s followers.
“As I speak I am filled with the Holy Spirit. Personally I am a member of this church and I’m requesting for the church to pray for this country, let’s pray for the handshake, all leaders and all Kenyans,” Babu told the crowd at Nairobi’s Central Park.
Nairobi Women representative Esther Passaris was close-by and watching, did not seem interested in Owuor’s prayers.
Babu Owino is not the first politician who the self-proclaimed prophet has prayed for.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga have equally passed through Owuor’s hands.
For Raila, it went beyond prayers as he was also baptized by Owuor.
However, scandals following the pastor raise queries on his teachings.
The first dent on his Messiah’s message was when a woman he had allegedly raised from the dead, died again.
Mama Rosa, died early this year, ‘ a second time’ and was buried despite him being allegedly known to heal the sick and resurrect the dead.
Then came property row with a city lawyer who he had allegedly ‘brain washed.’
Jane Njagi’s family accused Owuor of using her property to finance his flashy life.
Her sister Alice Macharia told journalists that Ms Njagi was even kept away from news of her mother’s death.
