Former Youth Enterprise and Development Fund boss Bruce Odhiambo has passed on at Nairobi Hospital, hours after it was reported he was in Intensive Critical Unit.
Bruce was President Uhuru Kenyatta’s close buddy. They were schoolmates at St Mary’s school. He was admitted at the hospital after his blood pressure went down.
Bruce was in hospital in India in October 2018 to have the pacemaker that control heartbeat replaced. But since November he has been in and out of hospital after he developed complications.

On Saturday he was reportedly rushed to Nairobi Hospital after he developed a cardiac arrest. He did not make it out.
State House Secretary of Digital Communication Dennis Itumbi while eulogising Bruce last night, few minutes after news of his death trickled out said he was behind many concepts that gave TNA party a tune and Jubilee an identity.
“Bruce Odhiambo was a personal friend of the President and the First Lady too. Throughout his three week fight with failing health at Nairobi hospital the Head of State stood with him” Itumbi posted.
The President’s buddy was a musician, who played with the legendary Mombasa-based Safari Sound Band and the Spartans.

It is however a corruption scandal while he was Youth Fund Chairman that dampened his friendship with Uhuru. The President had appointed him the position but he was entangled in loss of sh180 million in early 2016.
Bruce also sacked the scandal’s whistle-blower but he was forced to quit unceremoniously.
