Nayianoi Ntutu Ngeno, the wife of the late Hon. Johana Ng’eno, emotionally delivered a poignant tribute to her beloved and devoted husband during his Requiem Mass today.
Nayianoiu described the fallen hero as a man who molded her youthful years with love, gentleness; a journey that began in innocence and grew into a secured partnership.
“My beloved husband, the father of my children, Hon. Johana Ng’eno, whom I lovingly called Joha. Joha, the husband of my youth. Even saying your name now carries a lifetime inside it.
You were the love of my early days, when everything felt possible and the future stretched before us like an open sky”
Naiyanoi tied the not in August 2018, at Emurua Dikirr Secondary School, surrounded by family and friends, and together they began the journey and for the past eight years they were blessed with two daughters.
“You adored them. You held them with pride, you played with them, and you looked at them like they were your greatest accomplishments,” she said.
Further, “I recall the countless memories that death can never steal. But to me, he was simply my Joha. My partner, my protector, my best friend.
Six days before he left us, he was still sharing videos of our little family, smiling that big smile that lit up every room. He never imagined this would be our last week together.” she said.
“Joha, my love… Losing you feels like losing the music of my youth; the laughter, the dreams, and the simple belief that we still had endless time. But even death cannot take what we built.
It cannot erase the love, the memories, or the beautiful family we created. Rest gently, my love.”
The late MP was a three-term MP for Emurua Dikirr, where he fought for land, justice, bursaries, school buses and title deeds.
He had a deep passion for Kalenjin heritage and culture, and the quiet pride he showed when admitted as an Advocate of the High Court last September.
