Recently, a Nairobi man shocked Kenyans when he posted a video of his wife confessing that she was seeing another man behind his back in an early morning drama.
The man who is an upcoming politician in Nairobi posted the video on January 10 as he scolded his wife, Rose, who confessed that she was seeing a mtumba hawker called Tony operating in Gikomba.
Rossie initially denied having an affair with Tony, but when the husband called the man who had ‘squatted’ in his territory, he admitted to having slept with his wife, and insisted that he used protection because “he was not aware that she is married.”
In an unexpected twist, the man, who is eyeing a political seat in the city went public a day later saying that he has forgiven his wife. That raised eyebrows with some people wondering whether the whole thing was stage-managed.
“Everything that happened is true. My marriage has been rocky. Rossie is my wife of three years and we have a two-year-old child”, he said
He added that: “For some time now, we have been having an on and off relationship. I deiced to post that video after she confessed that she had spent the night with Chris. I was very bitter.”
The husband claims Rossie had been initially accusing him of ‘cheating’ whenever he is away and does not eat the food she prepares.
“We have been trying to iron out the problems with family but it has been hard. That is why I wanted everyone to hear and see the truth,” he explained.
He added that: “That weekend, we were in the house but I left for church service. I had instructed her to wash some clothes for me. But when I returned in the evening, she was not there and her phone was switched off.”
The man says he was worried since this was not the norm but managed to squeeze some sleep until 3am sure that Rossie will be back home
“She arrived at 7am the following day and when I confronted her, she admitted that she had spent the night with Tony but they did nothing. When I called Tony, he apologised for messing with her”
“We had a lengthy talk before I bought her new clothes, shoes, and paid for her hair to be made, in addition to buying her makeup so that other men cannot trick her again,”
