A youthful man in Nairobi’s Huruma estate was arraigned in Makadara court to face robbery with violence.
Reagan Njenga was accused of breaking into two houses and stealing Huawei and Samsung Mobile phones worth 10,000 and 15,000 respectively.
According to court details, he also stole a necklace valued at Sh 20,000 around 4am in the morning in November.
The matter was reported to police who started tracking until they arrested him.
He was then escorted to Huruma police station where he was put to questioning and later arraigned before a city court.
But in court, he claimed that he was being fixed by a police officer adding that he was arrested sometimes back but released owing to lack of evidence.
” was suppose to go to Dubai for a security job but the officers have decline to clear my finger prints and this has seen me fail to get a good conduct,” he claimed in court
The magistrate, however directed that the investigations officer to avail previous criminal records for the accused person as well as a pre-bail report to be tabled in court.
The matter shall be mentioned on December 8.
