Atwoli to Murkomen: Deport Chinese boss recorded beating employee in Eldoret

Cotu therefore demands immediate deportation of Chinese national captured on video assaulting a Kenyan workers at TCM mabati factory

Central Organisation of Trade Union of Employees Secretary General Francis Atwoli has petitioned Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen to immediately deport a Chinese national who was recorded beating an employee.

In an undated video clip that resurfaced on Saturday, the manager at TCM mabati factory was recording assaulting the junior staff by kicking and pushing him away.

“As Cotu we are appalled by this incident which is a gross violation of the rights and dignity of the affected and as the voice and the defender of the Kenyan workers,” Atwoli stated

He said the union will not stand by and watch the dignity of the Kenyan workers violated by the rogue Chinese employers working within our borders.

The SG added last week another case was recorded at EPZ where at Chinese national was forcing employees to sing Chinese songs before, during and after work.

“Cotu therefore demands immediate deportation of Chinese national captured on video assaulting a Kenyan workers at TCM mabati factory,” Atwoli stated

Cautioning, “anything else would be betrayal of the trust of the Kenyan workers have placed in your ministry and Kenyans at large,”
