Bold Nairobi MCA dies leaving behind unanswered questions

Kileleshwa MCA described Munuve as close friend adding that it was still unclear how he died at the facility.

Kariobangi North Member of County Assembly Joel Munuve is dead.

Munuve who was elected on an independent ticket passed on this morning while at a hospital in Kaimbu.

Nairobi County Speaker Kennedy Ngondi who announced Munuve’s demise said this was a big blow to not only to the Assembly fraternity but also the county.

“He suddenly collapsed and passed away this morning. He was dedicated leader and tireless servant of the people his relentless commitment to the people of Kariobangi North and greater public service will be remembered with great respect and admiration

Ngondi added that, “We mourn not only the loss of the colleague but also brother whose presence enriched the institution and uplifted many,”

Ngondi said his sudden demise is not only a big loss to his family but also to the city residents at large.

Kileleshwa MCA described Munuve as close friend adding that it was still unclear how he died at the facility.

“From as the Assembly, we are still giving the family time to come to terms with the demise so that we can address this later,” Alai said.

It is reported that Munuve complained of some pain while headed to the city centre and he was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Munuve was among the vocal MCA’s in the Assembly who has been challenging the county government over some projects.

In one of the latest statements, the deceased challenged the formation of a private firm to collect garbage in the county citing unfair deals.

He had also made some inquiries about the famous school feeding program and how some funds were being spent to run the initiative.
